Hi,

After searching the forums, it seems that until recently, this question came up often but was never resolved: How can you use the N900 (or N8xx) as a bluetooth headset, so that you can pair your bluetooth phone with the tablet and receive/make calls from the tablet, which in turn controls the bluetooth phone?

Until recently, I didn't find an answer to this in the forums. However, this post from 3 months ago seems to indicate there is hope:

Will the N900 support this kind of functionality out of the box? If not, will the N8xx solution work for the N900? Or will something have to be hacked together from scratch?

I know this functionality may seem useless because the N900 has a cellular radio built in, but my problem is I can't get a combined data+voice sim card here. So I'm planning on putting a data sim in the N900 and was hoping to use a nearby phone, paired with the N900 as bluetooth headset, for voice.

I'm another one who's going to use at least two sim cards, one for data (in the n900), one for voice (in a e51).
Being able to make phone calls from both would be great

Just wondering, now that the N900 is out there, can anyone provide any new information about whether using the N900 as a bluetooth headset/handsfree is possible, in order to make a phonecall from a nearby bluetooth-enabled phone?
