After searching the forums, it seems that until recently, this question came up often but was never resolved: How can you use the N900 (or N8xx) as a bluetooth headset, so that you can pair your bluetooth phone with the tablet and receive/make calls from the tablet, which in turn controls the bluetooth phone?
Until recently, I didn't find an answer to this in the forums. However, this post from 3 months ago seems to indicate there is hope:

Will the N900 support this kind of functionality out of the box? If not, will the N8xx solution work for the N900? Or will something have to be hacked together from scratch?
I know this functionality may seem useless because the N900 has a cellular radio built in, but my problem is I can't get a combined data+voice sim card here. So I'm planning on putting a data sim in the N900 and was hoping to use a nearby phone, paired with the N900 as bluetooth headset, for voice.
