I am not able to find it in any repository and i thought it's already officially available for Maemo 5??? How do you install and where IS THE FILE?

This thread here says it's available? But where is it??

Why would u create a thread that says "KOffice officially available for Maemo 5" when it's not? It's not even out yet!!!

I guess what was meant was that the announcement had officially been made. The N900 wasn't out yet back then anyway and if you read the posts they say a beta has been provided on prerelease hardware but will not be bundled. This will apparently be made available later.

Still, this was news to me so thanks for bringing it into my attention, I guess we're getting a nice solution on the N900 for office suite needs.

This announcement was back in Sept...that's 3 or 4 months ago....that's pretty long to wait.

The same thing with Syngic Navigation. They say it will be available very soon or Nokia allows it..but it's STILL NOT OUT YET!!

I think with Sygic someone contacted them and they said that Nokia contacted them and said to wait to Ovi Store is out to put it on there.

The first version of KOffice for Maemo 5 will be ready as soon as the maintenance update for Maemo 5. Fremantle PR1.1 is released. This is because the Maemo 5 KOffice depends on Qt release update which will be availabel in the PR1.1. This should happen as soon as PR1.1 is released.
The Maemo 5 KOffice UI sources itself have been released in Koffice Community project last week so you can get the code base if you interested from the community.

Thanks for your patience with this, the team is certainly working hard to get a version of the Koffice on Maemo 5 available as soon as we can. It should first appear in Maemo Extras Devel repository after the PR1.1 release.

Please, please tell me you guys have port or will port karbon and krita? Having these would make this n900 a real content creation device for me (and I'm sure many others). And would be a game changer in my eyes.
