I posted this (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=36788) in the accessories section but didn't get a response. So I guess that was wrong place. So I thought I would try here as it is sepcific to the n800 although it is more of a BlueZ dev question.
Any help, even if it's just to tell me the best place to ask this question greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

I am trying to connect extra USB Bluetooth adapters to a powered hub connected to an n800 running Diablo. I want to experiment with concurrent connections and also greater ranges using class 1 bluetooth devices.
I have set the n800 into Host mode from the command line and used lsusb to list the devices connected to the hub. It lists the BT adapters and I know the USB hub is working as I am using a keyboard plugged into it to make typing length dbus commands in the terminal a bit quicker and easier
BlueZ doesn't see the USB adapters though as I checked using dbus and Manager.ListAdapters only shows the internal adapter hci0. So finally getting to the point...
- Is the version of the BlueZ stack in Diablo configured only to work with the internal adapter?
- Can I just change BlueZ's config in some way to use / recognise extra USB adapters or will I need to do something drastic like recompile a new version on BlueZ if I want it to work (I hope not).
- Has anyone else tried this?
- Can anyone think of any reasons why this wont work?
I appologise if this is not the correct place to post about this or if this has been covered before. I'd really appreciate any advice or pointers though as I am not a Maemo expert and starting to get a bit stuck as to how to proceed now. It also seems weird hacking my old n800 when I have a shinny new n900 to play with but I need USB hode mode.
