As the title suggests, I was extremely dissatisfied with Zagg's Invisible Shield full body on my N900. I followed the instruction guide without fault, and I even took extra measures - wet nitrile gloves and I applied it in my steamed bathroom (let the shower run super hot for a while so the steam/humidity would settle and stick the dust to the floor).
After application (and waiting two solid days) it just looked like flat out crap. Not to insult Zagg, as I've loved their products on previous devices - HTC Magic, HTC Touch Pro, Motorola Milestone, etc, but this thing was purely grotesque on my N900. The quality of materials were standard with the rest of the Zagg products; that is not where it failed. The design, the overall fit and finish are just severely lacking... leading me to believe that the Invisible Shield full coverage for the N900 was a rush job with a flaky prototype RX.
The corners didn't meet up where they were supposed to, parts were often misshapen or unsightly when applied. I don't know about you guys, but when I drop the money on a device like this, I want it to look tiptop. The Invisible Shield just didn't cut it.
One other thing to note (if you're considering buying one) that the stylus pull over the N900 felt horrible. It'd often stick and grab a section of the Invisible Shield, ruffle it up and leave a nasty scar/dent in the Invisible Shield surface. I'm not sure if any of these problems are limited to mine alone, but my recommendation is as follows:
If you have an N900, stay away from Zagg's Invisible Shield.
I purchased a Vikuiti 3M DQC-160 screen protector and a Golla soft pouch in lieu of the Invisible Shield... couldn't have selected better products - especially for the price. The DQC-160 is absolutely brilliant, costs a bit more than your average screen protector, but one look at its fit and finish and clarity and you'll see where the money went.
At any rate, figured I'd warn any N900 users (or would-be users) about these products before you guys make the same mistake. Cheers!
