Is there anything that can be done to not have the N900 go kablooey whenever you're doing somthing else with it and someone calls you?

If there is a solution it should be sticky-fied please.

This thread/post addresses that... it "works" but isn't perfect.

I got call issue whenever Titan Kernel is installed, either the old power 40, 42 in extras or 46 in extras devel. Sometimes my N900 sounded like twisted cassette tape, sometimes the other end said my voice was too chokky choppy they could not understand what I was saying. That happened even when I did nothing else except making or receiving calls. A recall usually resulted good quality.

Without the kernel power, much less call issue occurs. I decide to stay away from the tempted Titan Kernel Power untill the call issue is fixed. Maybe this is just my device's issue (on 3G network) because I have not found any other with similar problems.

I checked by reflashing the device with both fiasco and eMMC images, making a call (good quality), installing the Titan Kernel without anything else, rebooting, making a call (call issue occurs); reverting back to original Nokia kernel, rebooting, making a call (good quality again.)

I'm not talking about call quality, i'm talking about how things freeze and get unresponsive when someone is calling you, speciall while you're doing somthing else with the N900.

There is a brainstorm kicking around on this issue, and from recollection it is the sheer quantity of data being swapped out when the phone software takes priority that is the cause of choking.

For example, some folk have tried moving swap from the internal card to sd with relative success, but their is no one simple solution that I am aware of. Something like swappolube may ease the pain?
