pygtkeditor has source code highlighting. It's basic but might be a good place go start.

Code highlighting looks very nice in pygtkeditor. I was trying to figure out how to copy and paste, any help with that would be appreciated. I also felt that it would be nice to be able to save the current file with Ctrl-S. With these two issues resolved pygtkeditor would be a great ide.

The usual shortcut keys work. Ctrl+C for copy, Ctrl+V for paste.

Thank you for your quick reply! I would like clarify that I could not find how do you select and highlight the text I wanted to copy with Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V? This is probably something completely obvious, but I missed it ... Thanks again for your help!
