Hi
I am trying to open multiple xterm windows but it keeps opening the one I had already opened.
I have been messing around with DISPLAY env var experimenting with remote X, so I don't know if it was possible to open more than one terminal windows or if I broke it.
I have already rebooted.
Thanks

Just inside the opened terminal tap the bottom bar and choose 'New'

I'm borrowing this thread. In xterm when i write something like cd MyDoocs and try to change it to cd MyDocs it doesn't work to change the word. In other words, If I make a spelling error I can't rectify it without pressing enter and start over from the beginning.

The other thing I've noticed is when you are root. When.I'm root I can't use the cd command . Any idea why this is the way it is?

press button UP and you will get previous entered line...
And you can use auto completion for avoid typos. In this case you can type "cd M" and press TAB
