I'm using my N900 with Virgin Mobile here in Western Australia. Everything is fine (and their "Your Cap" pre-pay things come with 1GB of data right now) except the operator display.

It seems to hit the edge of the area and wrap to a second line, which isn't there. What I get is "Virgin" and them the top few pixels of some of the letters of "Mobile" below it.

Anyone know a way to increase the horizontal size of the display area for the operator name?

I don't know how to increase the size, but you could try using "Custom Operator Name Widget" to change it to just the word "Virgin" or whatever else you want to see there.

Yeah, had a look at that. The thing is I like to be able to see who it's using.

Not that it should be an issue unless I'm travelling abroad I guess, as it should always use the main operator.
