(If this should be posted elsewhere please let me know and I'll repost it there...)

I got my wife a N810 for Christmas so that she won't have to lug a laptop around just to check her email and such.

The problem is that her work uses Lotus Notes, and when she accesses the webmail from her N810 the "Action Bar" doesn't load. I did a little Googling and couldn't find any answer there. Does anyone know how to get the "Action Bar" to work?

Thanks!!!!

I had too many problems accessing my Notes mail using the Nokia browser....too many Javascript confirmations and displays not showing the way they should. So I now access my Lotus Notes email with the Claws mail program on my Nokia N800 using IMAP protocol. The only downfall is you can't access any encrypted emails. So I had to set my emails in Notes to no encryption, but now it works very fast and is very easy to use.

Thanks Pushwall.

The problem is that my wife's work doesn't/won't support IMAP access, so the web mail is her only option.

I'm hoping to find some way for her to access the webmail directly from the 810...

Interesting, I received my 810 last Friday and my notes experience is somewhat different.

We run Notes 6, and I use the iNotes6 Template for web access. My action bar works, all my javascript confirmations work, the only thing that doesn't work is the actual list of emails in my inbox, I get icons but no text whatsoever in that message pane. If I double-tap a message it opens in a new window and I can reply/edit etc like normal.

In fact, with the exception of that main screen, it runs more reliably than IE7...

Yes that is interesting. We're running Notes 7 and using the Domino Web Access 7 template. We're soon going to Notes 8. Maybe that will help fix the problems I was experiencing with webmail on my N800, or make them worse!

We're in the process of moving to Notes 8 as well, we have a test server running but I can't access it from the WiFi side of the firewall so I can't test on that.

I need PPTP MS VPN, and the kernel swap required to make it works scares me. I need to get it going eventually, just haven't taken the plunge yet.

Download a browser useragent switching application. Change the user agent to Opera.
Visit this site http://browser-extras.garage.maemo.org/news/8/

You will now be able to read your email including the different folder using webmail of the Lotus Notes.
The downside is you cannot reply to the emai.

Hope this is useful.
