As I'm not in Gernany or the US, I can't get a replacement stylus. (The other thread has a website in Germany that hasn't answered email and won't let me buy online, and Jack's Place is US only as far as I can see).

Boxwave say if enough people ask, they'll make ones to fit the N810.

So go and ask! You might need it one day....

Thank you for your email!

The OmniPen Pro does not fit into the styra pen holder of your Nokia N810. It is an individual item sized as a generic pen.

I would recommend for you to place a product request on our BoxWave website if you have not done so already. We would appreciate your suggestion since we develop our products based on the number of requests we receive for a particular model.

Once a product request has been created, we will have your request on file, and will email you once the product does become available.

You can just use an ordinary pen (with the ball head retracted). It fits better in your hand and works the same. For me this works fine (in cases items cannot be accessed by my finger).

I've just ordered a couple of replacement styluses (styli?) from:
for the remarkably reasonable price of EUR 2.58 per stylus.

I'll let you know if they actually arrive.

Sorry. Forgot to report that sparepart.dk delivered my replacement N810 styluses (stylii?) without problem.

(Actually, if you look at all the parts these guys have in stock, you could practically build your own N810. :-))

I absolutely agree.

A further improvement can be made by fitting a piece of teflon rod in place of the ink tube. The end of the rod should be tapered and rounded to make a tip. Using this, you can work faster and more accurately with less fatigue.

I have posted more detail in the other thread at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...659#post562659 .

For quick limited stylus work I use my fingernail and for more intensive stylus use I prefer a stylus pen with a tip that gives the feel of writing on paper. I never use the built in stylus. That slightly softer tip doesn't scratch the screen the way hard plastic can. My favorite is a Cross and the pen comes in handy as well to provide information to those I meet that are less of a gadget freak than I. My favorite note paper for that purpose is the back of my business card. We all have our own way of working and mine may not suit your desires.
