It was sold to you unlocked so warranty is not an issue. But sending it back and getting it again is!!

I assume N900 is not yet launched by Nokia in India. But I see few stores selling them. Not sure how do they provide warranty/customer support. You may want to ring and find it out.

If it is a screen issue give a try in local mobile repair shops who fix N97 screens. I assume there should be some similarity between the N97 screen and N900 screen. Hope you are aware that once the phone is repaired by any third parties you lose the manufacturer warranty.

you havent lost warrany mate..in any case. you should contact amazon directly and tell them that you are going to send it to them- i have done this a lot of times with other tech parts and webstores..they accept it usually..if not, then visit a nokia centre at your country:

dont tell them that you bought it from amazon-yet. ask them if it under warranty(because in some companies the support is valid international but they are lazy to check, so they simply say no without checking). if they tell you that it it(they check though computer-at least in my country that i have been through service issues at nokia stores.

in any case if its a faulty product you SHOULD BE covered by warranty.

buddy you may try 3rd party lcd screens from other website like ebay (but you will have to buy them ....no use if you want to go for warranty).....but as of now the parts are not available in india. here is an example of a website for you ,you can find both lcd as well as touch screen for nokia n900 .But if you ask me Nokia Care is the best option to get your n900 repaired.
