I’ve just purchased my N800 and have been having issue with trying to update the package manager. Basically it won’t do anything it just gets stuck on 1Kb Downloading.

Now this is from the log:

E: Failed to fetch http://catalouge.tableteer.nokia.com...ra/Release.gpg (Could not connect to catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com:80 (1.0.0.0) connection timed out.

This happens for all repos, and I’ve run apt-get update and the result is the same.

I’m not running a proxy or anything like that, just a straight connection to my wireless modem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that step was the solution (he/she never took the time to post it was fixed ).

I'm still having this issue.

I cant refresh the applications manager. The logs give me the IP address 1.0.0.0.

I've posted on a maemo users mailing list but to no avail. I believe this is whats stopping me from using GAIM as well. I just cant connect to anything web releated that doesnt use Opera.

Does anyone have any ideas?
