I installed the Instant messenger AIM From Extras which is working great... but (there is a but) my battery life is suffering from it. Has anybody had that happen?
There are some settings under advanced and was wondering if I should "check" or "uncheck" something that might help this.
The settings are:
Use Ssl
Use Clientlogin
Always Use Rv Proxy
Allow Multiple Logins
Right now the only thing checked is "Allow multiple logins."
Wondering if there is something in settings that might help this.
Also, I have AIM installed on my Blackberry and have both the N900 and Blackberry signed in at the same time (same account.) Doesn't seem to be "freaking" anything out but wondering if that might be a bad idea.
Any feedback would be great - because if the battery goes down this bad over AIM - then I can't use it.
I messed around in the settings but was unable to make this happen. You can literally "watch" your battery drain. I have had the N900 for quite awhile so I know what my batter does and doesn't do. It also doesn't matter if you are signed in to your AIM account on another device or not (I tested that as well.)
