I just did a reflash and was restoring my icons, and i accidentally deleted a couple folders. Can anyone zip up and post or just email me these two folders.

1. /usr/share/icons/hicolor/26x26

2. /usr/share/icons/hicolor/40x40

I replaced the "apps" and "hildon" folders in both but accidentally overwrote the "devices" "filetypes" and "mimetypes" in both 26x26 and 40x40 the only negative effect ive seen is small icons not showing up right in filemanager. I hope someone can help, it will be greatly appreciated!

Just run
apt-get install --reinstall osso-icons-default
That should take care of it.

Cheers

But that will overwrite all the icon changes I've made, and there are alot...I'd rather not do that, would rather just have someone copy the icon folders I need and zip them up and post them or email them to me.

Hi Munky261 !

Will gladly help, but am Linux beginner, good chance to learn.
I ran into a problem.

As root, in Emelfm2, copied (to some close dir.) and changed owner and permissions, went ok.
Tried to copy to mmc card (as host), no-no, some message about not being able to change symlink.
Tried to copy to usb card, ok, but not visible in FileManager.
Tried cp -r from usb to mmc, no-no, >>cant stat etc.

The directories are on mmc now, but compete and unchanged ??

Are there symlinks or something inside these directories ?

Tell me how, and you will (hopefully) get your files !

Kristian

Also, when you have emelfm2 open as root, have you tapped the big green H's so theres a slash through them?

I usually have the H crossed, but not sure, can redo, but what about the symlink error ?

As root,
ls -R 26*26 > file gives a filesize of 15kB,
ls -R 40*40 > file gives a filesize of 8 kB,
the same with the "copies" give 2kB less !!

Re: symlink ,I don't know (yet) what that means.
Can you give me some info about what happens to such during "cp" ?

I dont use the command line for this sort of thing, I just drag and drop using emelfm2 with root privileges.

Well, I suppose the effects of drag/drop in emelfm2 and and of "cp -r" are the same,
so please consider my question on symlinks rephrased.
( cp-r means recursively, i.e. copy including all contents.)
