I've spent the past hour or so trying to work out how to set up an SSH server/client on my laptop and n900. I have installed the openSSH packages from the repos and read a few different threads that don't really have a clear guide from start to finish. I tried using FileZilla after setting up the server but I could not get it to work and it kept screwing up my router.

I am completely new to this side of things and I did try to do it myself before asking you guys. The fact that its nearly 4am doesnt help either so my brain isnt working so well.

I'm using W7, a belkin router and of course n900

Thanks in advance for any help that may come my way.

IP Address is whatever your router sets up (192.168.1.2 [or 3, 4 , 101 etc]). Edit: There is a Widget in maemo downloads that tells you what your devices IP address is.

Login: Root
Password: (unsure of yours).

Whatever your root password is.
You can also login via FireFox which works well.

It also depends if the SSH (N900) server is always running or if you have to active it through xTerm.

To make it even easier: SSH Maemo Talk
