I have no problem sending or receiving e-mail but I would like to set it up so it checks without my having to open up the e-mail app thing and send rec manually. Surely there is an option or widget somewhere to have it automatically ckeck for new mail and notify me? Why else let me set the notification noise, lol. Any help appreciated.

In the email settings, there is a way to schedule email checks. However, I can't get it to auto-connect to an internet connection, so I have to stay online 24/7.

The option is:
- in the email app
- top of the screen "E-mail"
- Settings
- The interval setting is the one you want
