I like the virtual keyboard better than the real one in that the buttons are just MUCH BIGGER. What pretty much spoils it for me though, is that it doesn't have arrow keys for placing the cursor. That means it's next to impossible to correct typos without using the stylus, because trying to place the cursor with my fingers - works sometimes between words, but in the middle of the word - it keeps highlighting the letters, and even if not, the cursor never ends up exactly where I wanted it.
Does anyone else find this terribly cumbersome?
Can the virtual keyboard be tweaked/changed to have additional keys?
thanks, Ben

Yes, this is a legacy issue thanks to the presence of a dpad on both the 770 and N800 (the N810's dpad was on the keyboard slider). Nokia hasn't really invested much time or effort into improving the virtual input since the N800 days except for pushing the occasional regression or feature removal. I wouldn't expect any improvements here for Fremantle, personally, although you're free to re-implement your own input plugin.

Yeah, I wish, except I'm just a regular user with no programming skills whatsoever, so if I want something new implemented, I have to harass the community into wanting it too. In fact, could someone tell the correct place for doing that?
Thanks a lot,
Ben

So you do AGREE that this is an issue, right?
PR 1.2 is still not going to have arrow keys, but every s60 5th device does... Is it a lot of work to add this? Where can I ask for it?
