had a prob with my media-im-status-updater too for a while, solved it just now. need 2 enter some commands though; assuming ur not familiar with commands:
* download the tar file attached under the post on this page
* Open with WinRAR, extract facebook-chat.profile to the eMMC.
* Open X-Terminal, and type these three commands:
- root
- cp /home/user/MyDocs/facebook-chat.profile /usr/share/osso-rtcom/facebook.profile
- mv /home/user/MyDocs/facebook-chat.profile /usr/share/osso-rtcom/
In my case, media-player-im-status would look for these two files, which didn exist in the /usr/share/osso-rtcom directory on my phone. Hope this might help solve ur prob.
