I need to know too, whether N900's internal memory is faster than SD card class 6 or 10. I want data for applications to be in fastest possible location.

It's really fast. On average, I can write at about 15MBps, and peak at 20MBps.
I am about to buy a MicroSD class 6 or 10 which I will eventually try to use as swap if it becomes posible.
But I want to know how fast is the memory used for swap in the N900 so I can evaluate if it will run better using the MicroSD, besides the posible paralel reading.
