Foolishly let my N900 update today and checking out my favourite forum on MicroB I find it's now ruined.
Seeing as that was main reason for the fone, I may as well stick it in the washing machine.

The links to take me to the last post on a page no longer work, posting a quick reply, then going back to the thread list now no longer updates the list to show my post has occurred like it did.

Is it possible to go back?

I've been in love with my N900 until an hour ago, now I can't even bear to fire up the worthless browser on it, I'm so annoyed.

but aren't they slow as heck?
And the previous 'unfixed' microB was just fine.

You should try opera mobile 10, it's fast. I use it all the time, but has no flash or plugins.

The update changes a lot, would be better to reflash completely. I did and everything works perfectly, better than ever.

Reflash eMMC or try to remove directories:

rm -fr /home/user/.macromedia /home/user/browser* /home/user/.adobe /home/user/.mozilla

Can you explain this please?

I'm a 'not fix if not broke' kind (which is one reason I'm annoyed that I let the update run when it wasn't broken), so it doesn't mean a 100% to me.
I know you can flash firmware in say your router etc, but not 100% on to what you are referring to do.

Actually, the engine was changed and the UI was revamped a bit, so it should be faster (which it is - but I didn't SSU/OTA to it)

Same thing here. I upddated to Pr1.2 OTA and microB doesn't even start. The bookmarks I had in the desktop don't work either. Firefox and Opera seem to be working fine, however, but with all the limitations you can expect.

Reflashing doesn't seem like a bad idea, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Seems like there is another thread dealing with a similar problem here:

Has anyone found this same problem and fixed it?

Any help would be very welcome indeed
