you can now watch all UK freeview channels on your maemo device legally.

just sign up at tvcatchup,com and choose low quality and pick you channel and watch in browser or if you prefer use m.tvcatchup.com and stream will directly open and use your media player in HQ.

i tested this out on n900 after reading this article about symbian devices, using maemo we get privilege of full web version too http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/...for_Symbia.php

great find.
quality (low of HQ) is poor on my device. very jittery and missing pixels. using a wifi too. prob perfect on my laptop i imagine. too much for n900 to handle live broadcasting tv?

the low quality works well for me in browser,
HQ in mobile version of site using media player works decent sometimes only i noticed, but LQ in media player works great
to tell the truth i think i'm getting different results depending on channel
