Hello everyone , I tried to update the firmware over the air yesterday , got stuck with the "Installing software update.
Please do not interrupt" command and I waited 3 hrs and nothing happened so I had to turn off my cellphone.

I have a 64bit windows vista and I had the "suitable usb device not found , waiting" problem and even now when I want to use my laptop (32bit windows vista) , it still says "suitable usb device not found , waiting"

Please someone help me , Im trying to flash the Fiasco/roofts image first and lets see if everything works.

Now when I try to turn on the phone , it turns on and after the black blank page it restarts again !

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

SR90, Did you follow the instructions to the absolute letter, are you sure the phone was off before you tried the U and then connected via usb?
It can take a few seconds for the PC to find the phone too.

Also have you changed Vista to allow insecue drivers at the boot screen. You should only need to do this once. And is the battery fully charged?

To allow unsigned drivers:-
You need to turn on loading of unsigned drivers.
You do it by choosing option in text boot menu (the one that you will get after pushing "F8" key just on start of Windows booting).
Using the F8 option. An F8 Advanced Boot Option introduced with Windows Vista—“Disable Driver Signature Enforcement”—is available to disable the kernel-signing enforcement only for the current boot session. This setting does not persist across boot sessions.

first delete all the saved USB ports on the device manager

den u need to shutdown ur n900, den just leave it like that !!
go to run
type cmd
then cd/program files/maemo/flasher-3.5
flasher 3.5 -F (RX.bin) -f -R
then enter
now wait for it to show, no suiable device found

now press u on ur n900 and then connect via usb !!

then it will take sometime to reinstall and find the drive after the drives have been installed u will see the flasher will start it process!!

please read the first line of my post again !! thank you !!
