Hi guys!

I want to flash my Nokia N900 to PR1.2. Before that, I want to do a contacts backup. When I flash my Nokia N900, how can I retrieve this backup?

Will the flash process remove all backup files?

No; the reflash process only erases the rootfs memory. The 32GB chip, where the backups are stored, is untouched by the reflash

only if you flash both Root and eMMC than you will lose it.. so i suggest storing it on your PC when flashing just to be on the safe side

I updated my N900 by using NSU and found that the applications have been gone, on the other side my contacts, notes, messages still there!!

So when I flash my N900 is same as using NSU? Am I right?
** someone said the PR1.2 bin file will flash the eMMC too.
