Alright so, I just updated my N900 to the newest firmware version PR 1.2 OTA. It started downloading it until ~90% then gave me the message 'Process has failed' but just switched to the next screen. It updated & rebooted so I thought that wouldn't be a big thing. Now that it's running again, my Message Inbox widget is gone. I wondered where it went but thought 'Oh well, I can just install it again.' I opened the Application Manager & once again I get the message 'Process has failed.' Clicking onto 'Download' brings me to a screen saying 'No applications available'; so I opened my catalogues & they're all gone. The thing is, even if I add new catalogues, they won't show up. I cannot download a single app and I'm pretty frustrated. Has anyone got an idea what to do? :/

Backup you contacts etc.. using the backup app in the phone

Probably best if you re-flash your device with a computer.

Afterwards use the same backup app to restore your data, although be careful when restoring your settings if they are corrupted now.

Flash it with maemo flasher but before make a backup.. u can find the instructions in the wiki

Have you got 1.2 itself working? If you have an email widget now, that would be a good sign that you have.

I installed 1.2 OTA (although I had to free up a load of root space to make it happen), but I too lost the conversation inbox widget. I had to reconfigure the extras repository to download the new 1.1.1 version. I recreated the catalogue from here:

In amongst the upgarde all the other catalogues appeared to go too, but then reappeared after a reboot.

Didn't backup my setting anyways. But thanks a lot, I'll try to re-flash it.
