I have several mail accounts defined on my N900, Gmail, Hotmail etc.
All accounts are refreshed at the same interval but on the Hotmail one (only this) I receive the messages with a delay of hours (comparing with the send-time and trough web mail).

Did anyone had/has the same issue and is there an solution?

thanks in advance.

Ronald.

PS: I did the account setup trough the default setup wizzard.

hotmail through the default email app is a total fail after pr1.2, it doesn't auto update properly at all. if you sign up for nokia messaging though it works perfectly through that, even utilises push email alerts so you get e-mails the instant they hit your inbox rather than every 15 minutes.

I wonder if breaking POP3 was intentional to get everyone over to Nokia Messaging. I understand that Nokia Messaging is intended to be a pay service.

it says it may become a paid for service in the licence agreement, though i have seen the same warning when i was using hotmail email through my n95's messenger and it never happened so fingers crossed!

Would be rather ridiculous for them to start charging for Nokia Messaging. Nokia missed a huge market to RIM by not having an instant messaging like that in blackberry and having an email service not as great as that of blackberry. Would be ridiculous for them to start charging for an email service which is inferior to a free one.

I had a different experience. I was using hotmail over Nokia Messaging for a long time. Recently I started getting a password prompt every time Nokia Messaging tries to sync the email (hotmail is my primary account for NM). I reported a bug for that issue.

Now I dropped the Nokia Messaging account and setup a new POP3 account for hotmail. I have not noticed the delay, but I am just glad the sync is working.
