1st off - ppl u rule, i m amazed how much problems this community solved, all the questions i had since buying n900 were answered in this forum, sometimes before i even thought of them) thanx...

now about the latest issue i can't seem to solve -
recently updated to PR1.2, OTA, seemed somehow laggy/weird, so flashed thru flasher3.5(without emmc).
phone works faster, but!

From the start, i had problem in app manager with broken dependencies.
1st, python, now 'opengles-sgx-img', openarena wont install(though many other apps reported dependant do, like brainparty&tuxrace), and worse of all it doesnt even show PLENTY apps i could take on previous firmware in app manager.

Please, how do i get over this?

The python issue was some sort of a bug in the package promotion process, and nothing directly to do with PR1.2. I've no idea about the opengles-sgx-img issue - what's the exact error you get with openarena? As for the missing apps - did you previously have additional repositories configured (extras-testing, extras-devel)?

i dunno bout python, i m new, i know this problem was nowhere to be seen on out of the box 1.1 or 1.0(dont remember) =)
the exact error i get with arena - app manager doesnt see it. It wouldnt let install the .deb file after manual download - says its not compatible.
After some tinkering with alternative opengles libs ppl posted on this forum, it let me install it from terminal(still not from app manager), but i cant find it in menus. Tuxracer, which i heard is gl, installed fine, and brain party gave same error(not compatible), alt libraries helped, it installed and plays now, but not OpenArena.
Also i remember clearly i had way more apps available in app manager in prev version, duke nukem for example, etc, the program just doesnt show em in the list. Thats kinda disappointing...=(
the extras are configured(i figure in 1.2 there is no devel\testing etc, its all united into /extras - at least old 1.x conf for devel\test doesnt work no more, and thats also what i read somewhere online...happy to be corrected if i m wrong)

You're definitely wrong there, and the devel & test repository details haven't changed, so should work unchanged. You can check the repository details here and here.

And OpenArena is only in extras-devel, which is why it's not showing up (and probably why you're having problems installing it - it's likely to need newer versions of packages than are available in the main repositories).
