Hey all, ive been trying to overlock and hence install kernel (titan's kernel)

For the past 3 hrs I've been trying endlessly to install kernel-power-settings & flasher. im running PR1.2

Ive followed:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=774

and

http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power#I...el_from_extras

after installing the kernel, when i run

uname -r, it shows up
2.6.28.10power37, where before it was 2.6.28-omap1

so clearly kernel installs.
but when i run
[I]
sudo gainroot
kernal-config load ideal

i get
/bin/sh: kernal-config not found

and similar message for

/usr/sbin/kernel-config load ideal

I flashed twice, it's still the same, it cant seem to find the kernel

I'm cluless as how to overclock.......

help will be much appreciated

i hope that you arent typing kernal-config in the terminal, because there are a typo.

1) Try the extras-testing version
2) Do a permanent overclock this way

sudo gainroot
rm -f /etc/default/kernel-power
ln -s /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal /etc/default/kernel-power

and finally reboot

I want to know is this command used to keep the kernel running at ideal after reboot?
because i know titan's kernel will be back to default after reboot the phone.

You got this warning because you input wrong command. I guess ..
you should type:
sudo gainroot
then: kernel-config load ideal

Not: kernal-config load ideal

thanks guys

@knownothing

mate it was all a typing error and now i can load the kernel!
BUT
when i load ideal (frequency)
the phone starts behaving weird,
1 - I cant seem to connect to 3g (mobile web), the symbol (connecting) blinks endlessly
2- application manager crashes, cant install/uninstall
3-random programs like email etc close

I flashed all over to bring it back to normal and realised it wad the ideal config (titan's kernal) causing probelm

Im on the uk Pr1.2, tried to flash latest global firmware, but the flasher won't start

unsure why this is happening
I've just loaded the LV (freq), and set 250-850 limit
so far it's ok, but gets a bit laggy.

ulv made some icons dissapear, like ideal; so im stuck with Lv I guess

any suggestions why this is transpiring and secondly if i set the 250-850 limit and use LV, is there a chance to see batt improve?
(iv got all the other tweaks-brightness/wlan switcher etc)
