I noticed when the keyboard is open, the screen can be unlocked by tapping on the screen.

however, when the keyboard is closed, you have to use the slider or power button to unlock the screen.

Is there a hidden configuration/hack which allows unlocking the screen with a tap when keyboard is closed (and when prox sensor is not covered)?

I want to be able to unlock the screen with tap when the keyboard is closed. When the phone is in my pocket, the prox sensor should disable to tap functionality.
