alp is what the old palm people r&d'ed

i dont think it has seen a device yet although it was supposed to be on the emblaze edelweiss, but i dont know if that ever was distributed at all

there will probably be some japanese phones witn this soon

So is this an early PalmOS, related to Moblin now amigos with Meego Whats the story, anyone know?

i think they were on the LIMO wagon not moblin.

it would be nice if maybe they came over to meego, they obviously have some pretty decent stuff.

This Alp Access+Mer=Some crazy OS like Palm meets Maemo.

i dont think alp bears much resemblance to classic palmos at all fwiw

No resemblance to Classic Palm They say more in common with Maemo so can it be mated to Mer?

Now I may be mistaken but based on the wording on the site you linked (and subsequent links from there)

This is :
1.) an overlay OS (like HTC's overlay on top of Android)
2.) This http://www.access-company.com/products/gvm/ was a test run
3.) They are looking to attract companies like Nokia, not "lowly" individuals like us.

We Maemo folk might be labeled as sad and lowly when the Meego devices start landing on planet earth. What's going to stop us from making some Franken build of Maemo+Mer+Meego+some other OS to keep my baby (N800) fresh and alive.
