My display screen doesn't automatically light up when I receive a call to see who is calling (only just noticed as I got a call in the dark).

I have looked through all the device settings and cant seem to locate how to rectify this, id it possible to do without using the lock slider?

Anyone? Is this a standard thing?

I think its standard that it does, mine certainly does anyway. I dont think there is an option in the standard phone menus to disable this feature. Maybe something you installed or changed.

Probably an application then will try the obvious suspects. Thanks

Mine does so it's probably a SW issue.

Is anything covering the proximity sensor under the front cam? My phone will not light up when that is covered, since it assumes it's in my pocket when the proximity sensor is covered.

Quick way to test the proximity sensor is to place a call and use your finger to cover up the area near the front camera. If the screen turns off when you bring your finger near, and turns back on when you move your finger away, the sensor is working correctly.

Possibly if you have a screen protector or something that could be falsely triggering the proximity sensor, that could be the problem.

Hope this helps!
