had the same problem disable facbook account on n900 and problem went away

i've noticed if you remove skype and add it again it syncs faster but after a bit time it becomes slow in sync again

Rebooting helped mine, but after a while it starts to decay again. I can't imagine what sort of memory leak/buffer issue/logging/??? could cause such a huge delay to build up.
But having seen some of the other dodgy bugs that betray some very poor coding, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Anyone else have this issue. It's very annoying.
It could be an issue with syncing with the Contacts rather than the Skype client, but no idea how to test this. It doesn't matter whether I view all or just Skype contacts in Contacts.
No difference for contacts on Desktop.
I should add that it makes no difference if the contact is Skype only or merged with a phone contact.
