I would like replace a 15" laptop screen with a 17" laptop screen.

Please don't ask why.

Every fine work fine BUT the image is really buggy. Resolution problem of course, the laptop think that the lcd screen is the old 15".

Everyone know how to fix it ? I don't need to see how the bios stuff, i only hope to run a linux a if possible a xp to run a bot

I assume you're setting this up as a fairly stationery desktop replacement then.. and there would be no need to flip the monitor closed for transport.

How about getting a 17" external monitor instead..?

You can either remove the defective 15" monitor and have the notebook used like the cpu+keyboard combo of yesteryears (Amiga 500, Commodore C64, etc)... or get a USB mouse + keyboard and set up the notebook to be used in closed position.
