I am getting this as a dependency, but can't find it.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Did you try Red Pill Mode?

Still no dice (even with Red Pill). Having a hard time finding advice on this for the OS 2006 on the 770 (though it sounds like some folks are having similar issues with OS 2007 on the n800).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

in debian, apt-get source libgdbm3,
in scratchbox-armel, cd into the directory and
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -b
then cd .. and dpkg -i libgdbm3*.deb

or something like that

Thanks for the tip, ArnimS.

I think I solved the problem by adding the repository...

Web address: http://repository.maemo.org
Distribution: mistral
Components: free non-free

...to my repo list. It was was (mysteriously?) not there. I only had the /extras repo, by default. *shrug*

Also, before figuring that out, I poached the bora version from...

http://repository.maemo.org/pool/bora/free/binary/

...and installed it manually. That seemed to work OK, too. Not sure there's any difference.

Also, to review...

THIS WAS FOR A NOKIA 770 RUNNING OS 2006

Don't go breakin' your spanky new n800 and blamin' me for it. (Can you smell the jealousy?)
