If you mean maps, the native app is pretty good. Just GPS, I use GPSJinny, has display of satellites, lock, precision, and logging. As for alternatives to mapping, I think Mappero is promising.
They might not be in Extras. If you're new to the device, head over to the wiki and see what extras-testing and extras-devel are about before going solo.

What is the best GPS app for the N900? I used Maemo Mapper on my N810, but I don't recall seeing it in the app manager. Is there something better?
One other question. I have a set of bluetooth headphones, motorola S9s. Will they play nicely with the N900? I was going to try to use them with the N810, but I remember the discussion that the app that supported the use of bluetooth+remote control would bring the N810 to its knees. Can I do this with the N900?
