I know this has been talked about but the thread was closed cos PR 1.2 allowed the rocker to adjust the volume when locked and everyone went silent..

So here is what I would like some Helpful Devel to implement..

Since the volume rocker events work even when locked/unlocked to adjust volume.. Look up the event sent by the rocker when long pressed.. Then map these events to send a Dbus signal to MAFW/Media Player corresponding to Next/Previous signals..

I know qwerty12 has managed to track button presses of headset.. so maybe that code can be adopted to track long press of volume rocker?

Help would me Much Appreciated..

I had an idea like this but I was thinking if the "rocker" controls the track and then you can press the power button and use the same "rocker" for volume.
But your idea is good,
+1 to see anything like this happen.
