Hey....I would like to delete individual messages in a particular conversation. I have a lot of messages to delete but I don't see an option of selecting them and deleting them at once instead of individually deleting them as it's time consuming.

I know entire conversations can be deleted but I don't want to do that, just delete some messages in the conversation itself. Any help would be appreciated.

doesn't look like there's an option to select multiple messages, it's the same with email. literally have to either delete them all at once or one at a time.

it's one of the few annoyances I have with the n900, no multi select functions on sms or email

Email can easily be deleted with a multi-select. Menu -> Delete messages. Pick the ones you want and hit delete.

It'd be quite easy to build an alternate SMS viewer that has a similar feature. It's just an sqlite database so your delete parameters could be as complex as whatever query you care to dream up.

When it is deleted, it is removed from the db table so it's really deleted.
