just installed a Digg.com widget for my N900 from the freemantle extras-devel repo.

However, no Digg widget show up as an option to add to my desktop.

has anyone been able to get this widget on their device?

Have you rebooted the device after the install? It usually does the trick!

Yep. Dozens of reboots since initial install. No joy.

Woah, I just fixed a python glade2 dependency conflict in gpodder today and after my next reboot, the Digg widget is showing up again!

Happy day!

I've got the same python glade 2 dependency conflict in gpodder...can you tell me how you managed to solve it?

does the digg widget take up alot of battery power? i've enabled it to view 4 news feeds and i've noticed my battery life has got worst. Only gettng 2+ hours of heavy usage?

My digg widget is not displaying any feeds? It's been like this for 2days now, and i've not installled anything new on my phone in months?

Anyone have this problem?

Same here. This happened before a few months ago but it eventually fixed itself.

Probably something happening over on digg.com. I don't know what API is used by the home widget to pull the digg headlines, but it appears vulnerable to changes on the web site's side...

Just noticed that digg.com has a new layout. The associated changes under the hood are probably what has killed the digg home widget.

Bug submitted, please vote for it!
