ive just "updated" *cough ******** cough* to the latest firmware that fixes the sdhc bug , but when i go to reinstall my apps , nothing comes up when i refresh the list , and it shows all my repositories as being there. so , i downgraded back to the previous firmware and the same thing happens. any suggestions?

i did that , still didnt work. downgraded back to the previous firmware, restored backup and still no go i didnt mess around with any settings or try to hack it in any way. only reason i even upgraded cause my skype would not log on , just kept crashing... so i figured if i upgraded the firmware it might solve the problem... but now im totally f***ed. seriously just considering going and buying a new unit and returning the old one. has anyone else encountered a problem like this?

Try installing syslogd and see if skype produces any output, otherwise start skype from the command line and again see what output it produces.

seems i stumbled upon the solution , i reflashed again and didnt backup anything at all , went and re typed repositories and / or did one click installs and everything works fine now. cant for the life of me figure out why backing up my info screwed anything up

Did you perhaps forget to update the applications list? (under tools) (and the one-click installs executes an update too btw)
