http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/09/10/nokia_head/

Rightly or wrongly I've guessed his email address firstname.lastname@nokia.com and also nokia.fi - I don't know if the email has definitely gone through but it hasn't bounced back from either of those addresses.

I mentioned as an end user of N900 I'm disappointed how little in the way we get end support and roadmaps for firmware updates, particularly as PR1.2 caused as many problems as it fixed for me, and I feel N900 users are being used to an extent as guinea pigs for Meego development (which, by the way, we would like to be a part of thank you very much).

It may never be received by the new Chief Executive, it may received and deleted, but you just never know it may be received and actually listened to...

Because that thread is about the outgoing CE, and I'm mentioning N900 specific things not talking Nokia in general.

Actually, that thread is about the incoming CEO with talks about the outgoing CEO going on concurrently.

This thread definitely is merge-able into that stream of conversation.

I can well imagine the new CEO has a hundred people a day in his ear giving similar conversations about a broad range of issues ranging from toilet paper ply thickness through to company car accessories they didn't get. I don't fault you at all for attempting to send email, but having seen a CEO change or 10 in my career, he'll be busting his backside for the next few months just to get a handle on the bigger picture.

Specifically he might not even know the N900 exists in anything other than a marketing sense, and I'm not sure if that is a pretty picture either.

I don't think Nokia will reignite the N900 line - we might be fortunate in that future operating systems (like MeeGo) can be trivially ported to run on it, but this new CEO is very likely here to bring back some of the popularity that other brands have taken right now - by building and rolling out ~new~ product lines.

Anyway, just my thoughts...
