Hi.
I have tried to do: "apt-get update & apt-get upgrade" inside easydebian.

It worked for a while, for some packages. But, then the phone (n900) stopped responding, and the easydebian was terminated by itself somehow. getting error message: "Stale NFS file handle" on the command: "dpkg --configure -a". On some file that cant be removed.. (same error message).

I actual did it twice, removed easydebian and its image, and reinstalled it. Get same error message. In same directory but different files, what I can say. (cant view the contents of the file, same error -message: "Stale NFS file handle"). On fiile: "/var/lib/dpkg/update/0006".

Question: Anybody have any hint on this?
(I tested google, and it gave me some hints on fsck things, but all on unmounted devices. I dont know how what NFS is? (Network File System??) nothing of that sort is mounted anywhere what I can tell)

Another mystery..

Hi phoohb,

I have had the same issue as you. You have to move /var/lib/dpkg/ to /var/lib/dpkg.old. Then to move /var/lib/dpkg.old to /home/.Not all files will be moved because of the NFS and is not possible to delete the directory. Then remove all files in /home/dpkg.old/update/* and remove /home/dpkg.old/available. Copy the the /home/dpkg.old to /var/lib/dpkg. Run apt-get clean all. Now everything should work
