Hi there, im having mayor issues, i wanted to install a new app, and it fails, and im sure its due to lockdaemon being crupted. it wont uninstall via app man, or fast application manager. and i've tried apt-get remove lockdaemon, in x term.



in x term it prompts me to remove. and then "removing lockdameon......

dpkg: error processing lockdaemon (--remove) :

subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1

Errors were encounted while processing

lockdaemon

E: sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)



please please help asap

reboot and then try it another time.
it looks like you canīt uninstall it because it is running.
how do you installed lockdamon?
with appman or via dpkg -i command?

installed via appman as far as i remember

Do you have rootsh installed?
If not install it and then try

sudo apt-get remove lockdaemon

isn't there force uninstall command ?

If the files installed belong to 'root' then removing it with force will not work as 'user'.
