I use the N800 for controlling Slimserver for music which is working out great!

I have the display set to dim after 1 minute and go dark after 2 minutes, which it does. Often, though, the display will turn back on when it is just sitting on the coffee table and I have not touched the screen. It is not vibration as I have shaken and bumped the unit and this does not turn the screen on.

Are you using the latest 3.2007.10-1 firmware?

It says Version: 3.2007.10-7 and I did update the newer OS by hooking to my PC shortly after getting it.

Are you using MNotify (Google Notifer)? I think I've read that it can make the screen come on when it checks for mail every 10mins...

I don't know about MNotify but I did have the email program automatically checking every 15 minutes but that only happens if the program is running and it wasn't.

I turned that feature off though and, so far, the screen is behaving. Fingers crossed...
