May I ask why? The GPS virtually no power when it is idle and any apps that need to use it can switch it on themselves.

Convieniance, when I geotag photos it does not always come on and I have to go to settings it would also be nice to "warm up" the GPS before hand by a simple tap before intending to use an application?. but also for switching A-GPS selection on and off. I am sure someone will find it easy on here to do?
