Sorry to hear that, buddy.
Maybe you could monitor this forum for the person who found your N900. He/she may subscribe to this forum and start asking weird stuffs about the phone like, "my grandma gave me this phone but left out the pin..."...

Seriously though contact your network with your IMEI so they can deactivate it. Get a police report of loss and claim on your insurance. You have got insurance for your £500 phone???
Sorry for the loss though I know how it feels..

After goin through this.. this makes me more SAD>.No insurance.. Though in London its common among people to insure their phone, I just left it..
Now its pinching me..
