...ive been looking for a video downloader add-on for firefox on n900,

does anyone know if theres a working one available?

most are not compatible with MicroB 3.5!

I use youtube-dl (note: its not a addon but a cli program) http://rg3.github.com/youtube-dl/documentation.html#d4

If you mean YouTube in particular, install cuteTube and use that instead of a browser. Nothing handles YouTube better.
