First of all, I do know about Comix and cbrpager. The problem with these though are that they're both out of development for long time. That fact alone is certainly not a show stopper for me.

But the fact is Comix is not working, it exits with an error and cbrpager needs some much needed features. Developing a new application, I dont think is practical or needed. So I request somebody to please take up these projects or release modified versions of these projects. I mean, what is the use of being open source if we can't take up another's code and use (with due credit ofcourse) it to make something better?

QComicBook could be ported:

But the most important part if we want something better than cbrPager, would be a good finger friendly UI and that should be developed almost from ground.

cbrPager is really good but lacks important features like library management, auto open next file, remember previous archive, etc.
So if somebody can take it up and incorporate these features, it would be great. I think it is developed in C and I have no experience in GUI programming, else I would've tackled it.
