One thing which occured to me after fiddling around with Quake 2 on the N800 is that the port of quetoo currently only uses software rendering. The N800 has a PowerVR MBX 3d accelerator, which has seen pretty much zero use thus far. This same accelerator is playing Quake 3 on the latest Dell Axim at 640*480 at 25 fps. Granted, the Axim has about twice the clockspeed of the n800, but a Quake 2 or Quake 1 acceleration would be much less taxing than Quake 3, as well. Any crafty programmers with too much time on their hands intrigued by the possibilities?

It appears to be running at quite decent FPS. I would love to get my Quake on with the n800, but games like this are really only enjoyable with a mouse. Has anyone explored getting a bluetooth mouse working with the n800? There are many applications which would benefit from mouse support. There are some really nifty TINY bluetooth mice, too. Combine that with my bluetooth keyboard and you have the most mobile desktop on earth.
