So, i am a big fan of amsn. But after os update, it wouldn't install anymore.
Today, i tried to download, and it installed. But, i couldn't find the icon. Checking the app manager, it is listed to uninstall. So, i assume it's installed somewhere. I just have no idea how to load it, without an icon.
Could someone check if it is happening just here?
thanks

Same over here.

To run aMSN without the icon, go to xterm
and type:
amsn

Sorry about that, didn't notice that their maemo.diff didn't fix the desktop directory location
Code:
cp /usr/share/applications/amsn.desktop /usr/share/applications/hildon/
should bring up the icon till I update the package
Don't mv it, apt will probably get confused or something.

thanks for quickly reply. I'm really happy to see amsn working again. Its my favorite app.

I can open amsn now, but when i try to login it shows a "tls module installation wizard", asking to choose my system type. I cant find maemo on it. Tried some options, but after downloading, it returns to the same screen.
Am I choosing the wrong system?

thanks again.
Just installed the update. The icon is showing now.

The screen i got is:

"aMSN now uses MSNP9, which requires the use of a secure connection using SSL. In order to use SSL, aMSN needs to install a module called TLS, which is missing from your system, This wizard will help you to download and install TLS, Please choose your system type so we can automatically download the required TLS files.

Comparing the one in the extras-dev repository to the one supplied by the aMSN project itself for N900 (http://www.amsn-project.net/maemo-downloads.php), What's the difference ?
