If itīs a xpi then you should go to the .mozilla directory and find the extension and edit the install.rdf file so Firefox can except it. Else you can save the extension and extract it and change that file. Maybe you can write about:config and see if thereīs anything related to compatibility check that you can turn off.

Below is the correct way to enable Flash in Firefox. No need to install anything and YouTube will work (or better yet, install Marxian's cuteTube for YouTube). I haven't tried this with any of the beta builds but it works in the Firefox 1.1 stable release so there's a good chance it will:

1. Go to URL "about:config"
2. Scroll down to: "plugin.default_plugin_disabled" and "plugin.disabled". Set both to "false".
3. Restart Firefox.

This of course does not enable Flash 10, only the Flash 9 plugin used by MicroB.
