I would like to know how to avoid this undesirable behaviour of the Calendar application that comes with the N900: For every Birthday, the previous day is marked as a all-day event mentioning the birthday.
For example, is a contact named John birthday is January 27, then in January 26 is generated an all-day event called John's birthday.
You can disable the birhtdays alltogether. Just remove the
smart calender "birthdays". But of course the birthday allday events
should be at the birtnday and not a day before.
This is a bug of the calendar and/or your timezone settings.
Be sure your timezone setting matches your localtime.
If you change your timezone sttings, then reboot, remove
the smart calendar and recreate the smart calendar.
If the birthdays are still wrong, then you are out of luck and your
birthday entries in your address are wrong(wrong timezone)
